Los que os acordéis de "Funny Games" (versión original) os acordaréis de la escena inicial del coche. Este es el aria que el marido no reconoce.

Lo que más gracia me hace de estas arias barrocas es el minimalismo del texto, que puede alargarse a capricho de la versión, ya que el autor contempla la posibilidad de variaciones. De este aria hay versiones de dos minutos y hasta de diez.

Yo tenía entendido que Wagner se inventó a sí mismo a partir de "El Holandés Herrante", y que por lo tanto sus tres primeras óperas no tenían interés.

Hoy he escuchado por primera vez en mi vida la obertura de la tercera, Rienzi, y debo discrepar. Seguramente le quede mucho para alcanzar el ideal wagneriano en todo su conjunto, pero es fácil discernir ahí sus colores y valores: la nobleza, la grandiosidad, el inequívoco ímpetu wagneriano.
